What Is Adult Psychiatry?
At Pittman Psychiatry & Recovery, our skilled providers offer general adult psychiatric services to patients in Arlington, TX and the DFW region to treat a broad range of mental health, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Adults of all ages may suffer from mental health and behavioral issues that can affect their day-to-day life and functional abilities. Mental health disorders can influence a person’s mood, behavior, and the way they think, and can be short-term, occur only once, or carry long-term effects. While many mental health conditions stem from life experiences or social factors, some are related to chemical imbalances in the brain or other physiological functions. Adult psychiatry focuses on all types of mental health conditions in patients ages 18 and up. Board-certified psychiatrist Dr. Julie Pittman and our experienced nurse practitioners are trained to evaluate the psychological, biological, social, and behavioral aspects of such conditions and provide quality psychiatric care for patients in need.
"Stephanie is awesome. After several years of searching and trying to figure out medicine that works for me, she provided a solution that I never thought of. She listened to everything I said and gave me direction on how to move forward in understanding what was happening. She was kind and professional, but also relatable. I'm glad I found her."- ES / Office Visit / May 03, 2021
